Eli’s first day of preschool……….
my sweet boy is growing up SO fast! he was SO excited to go to school today! he came into our room at 3:30 am and said he was ready to go! how does this happen? how did he get old enough to go to school? it seems like just yesterday, i was getting up with him all night long, nursing him, changing his diaper, carrying him (which i can barely do at all anymore!) i am sad, but at the same time so proud of the boy he’s becoming. so polite, so generous, funny, innocent, intelligent, i could go on, and on! we are so blessed! here are some pictures i took this morning before i dropped him off, and a few of my favorite’s when he was just a little guy!

eli hated the bath, his first bath only lasted about 30 seconds before we transfered himto the shower with daddy, and from then on, it was showers ONLY! it was a special time for eric and eli, and i have to say i was a pretty good “towel girl!”

when eli was seven weeks, we spent a week in Doernbecher’s children’s Hospital, because he was having these weird seizure episodes. it was a really scary thing to watch our baby go through so many tests, having to hold him down, and trying to nurse him during the night trying not to tangle the many, many wires coming off his head and body! but he was amazing through it all! i mean, look at how relaxed he is! this was his first valentine’s day. after a few months of being on anti-seizure medicine and him still having episodes, he just stopped. it was the craziest thing, but God took care of it, we may never know what was actually going on, but now we have this amazing, happy, healthy, extremely smart little boy!

mother’s day 2005, if you look close you can see Dylan in this picture, too!

right after surgery, May 2005. our little boy has been through a lot in his short little life! maybe that’s why he’s so tough!
