not much going on……
October 9, 2007we are finally feeling a bit better around here. eli went back to school today, and dylan and i stayed, since it was my work day. (co-op) i think we are all happy to see some new faces. we were getting a little tired of each other to say the least!
i started to try and organize my life. it’s a big job. things just get out of hand so fast. if you have any amazing organizing tips, leave me a comment, i need all the help i can get!

i thought i would post this picture because it says “i’m eli, and riding bikes is what i do”. this is where he’s most happy, i think. he gets it from his father. he is SO fast, and a bit reckless. (he’s got scars to prove it!) when i watch him jumping curbs, and trying to make the longest brake line on the black top, i can’t believe he’s only three. i know i’m his mom, but seriously the boy is amazing! and when i really want to yell to him “SLOW DOWN!!” i’m trying to stop, take a deep breath an just say “good job, buddy!” because he is who he is:
a smart
funny
talented
crazy
handsome
sweet
bike-riding
boy.
i have to go now because he’s looking at me with thise big blue eyes from under that big black helmet, and asking “can we go ride bikes mom?”
Amy: Oh he is just so cute. I am glad he's feeling better. I hope life gets back to normal for you real quickly.
With respect to organizing, I am so much better at giving advice than doing it myself. My biggest advice to life organization and one that I have actually been trying to practice myself is writing everything down. In the past, I never wrote anything down. I kept it all in my head and it worked for me that way. Now, I have to see it on paper or I am not going to remember it.
I hope that helps a bit. Take care.
emma & naomi's mommy: Yeah, no advice here...but my buddy looks so cute on his bike! Miss you bud, looove you!
the yaney's: What a handsome little guy!
With respect to organizing, I'm with Amy...I have to write it down. And if you need organization when it comes to paper work, household items, etc. I found these nifty little boxes and containers at Ikea. They are attractive and inexpensive. You are so crafty that I am sure you could put your own spin on them and make them look even better. Anyway, they really helped me get our home office into shape...even Martha Stewart would be proud! ha-ha..
emma & naomi's mommy: Well I actually did just clean out my closet...I didnt really organize it though, I just gave all the crap away.
jessamyn: i love that..."and riding bikes is what i do"...I too am amazed that he does all that at the age of three. i think we both have some daredevils on our hands!
The Christian's: he is so adorable! Glad to hear he is feeling better. I try to keep things organized but it seems like an ongoing project. :)
Andrea: Hi Beth, your photography is amazing. I was wondering what kind of camera you have and what kind would you recommend? I am looking into getting a really nice camera and am just asking around and doing my research ya know. As far as the organizing thing goes...I just have my mom come every 3 or four months and she gladly wants to organize my closets. Ha Ha no but I've never been very good at it. It's almost impossible with two little one's constantly destroying.
