baby schrater.

she has yet to be named. they have a white board in their hospital room with all the name choices, and they are all beautiful!

i don’t think they can go wrong, she’s perfect, and any name they choose will fit.

i won’t reveal the choices, i’ll let tamar do the honors when she’s ready:)

but seriously, can you get over her?

she’s amazing, and the perfect little model at just about 12 hours old.

she was born around 7:20 this morning.

7 lbs. 6 oz. 19.5 inches long.

(i think i got this all right…)

and a head of hair like none i’ve ever seen.

i feel SO blessed to be sorrounded by new life everywhere i turn lately.

after i recieved some terrible news about a young life that left us yesterday, i am more aware of how precious and life is now more than ever.

looking into this new little face, i am feeling very aware of life and God, and just the miracle that we all are. it’s so easy to take things for granted. and i don’t want to….

thanks everyone for the birthday wishes:) i had a wonderful weekend! i am a very blessed 27 year old! i hope to get some pics up from the weekend soon.

i pretty excited about it! i have to thank my uncle matt for helping me get it up and going. i am already seeing things that i want to change….but that is just me. i have a hard time leaving things alone. so, i’m sure there will be changes happening as i go, but the important thing is that we got it up. check it out, and let me know what you think!

our new family member.

eric and i brought her home last weekend from an auction we attended for eli’s school.

eli really likes her, on sunday morning we showed him what we got for him and dylan, and we asked him to name her. he said he wanted to think about it, and for the next three hours, everytime we would ask him, he would say that he “didn’t want to talk about it”. then out of nowhere he said that he had a name for her.

“selucia”

(eric came up with the spelling!)

we have no idea where he came up with her name, but it’s perfect.

jaydah, our cat doesn’t seem too interested….

for now anyway!

so for now, our family is feeling a little more balanced, even if “the girls” consist of a mommy, a cat, and a fish.
