aren’t these the sweetest little dresses ever? naomi’s birthday is coming up, and her party is on saturday. i’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with a gift idea to make for her. yesterday i was sitting here searching for something to inspire me, and i came across this pattern for a little pillowcase dress. seriously, they are SUPER easy to make, and SO worth it! i had a couple of yards of this green damask fabric that had been sitting in my closet for a couple of months, and i’m working on another birthday gift (a sneak peek jamie:) that this red wallflower fabric was left over from. perfect. one evening and about 20 minutes this morning, and i have two little party dresses for my girls to wear on saturday!
here is the pattern
seriously i think everyone should try this! this one is originally from martha stewart. it starts with an actual pillowcase, but as you can see, you can make it with just about any fabric you have lying around:) jessie, i can totally see pictures of your little journey running around in one!
if any of you out there do make one, i would LOVE to see pictures of it!
have a great day!
(heather, you’d better post pics of my girls in these…it’s killing me that i won’t be there!)

Amy: Beth,

I can't sew to save my life, but you have just inspired me once again! I would LOVE to try this for my sweet niece. Thanks for sharing. You are so talented.

Amy

Hannah: I've been waiting for the girls to get a bit older to make these. I've had this ballerina print fabric picked out but I think I like your choice of fabric better.

{The Christian's}: These are soooo cute!!! I wish you would open up a store :) I would love a set of these for my girls...too cute!!

Jme: Beth! These are adorable!!!!! :) That green fabric looks familiar. :)
And...I love the red too! I'm so excited for my b-day gift from you ~ you really have NO idea!!!! :) :)

As soon as I saw these little dresses I thought the same thing ~ Journey would look SO cute in this!
Great job ~ I'm sure they will LOVE them!!!! :)

the yaney's: Oh, those are the cutest...maybe I should try one! Not sure mine would turn out as nice as yours but it’s worth a shot! Thanks for the inspiration

Amy: I am in AWE! You have inspired me! I am definitely going to go use my mom's sewing machine and make these for my girls too. Thanks SO much for sharing, you crafty lady you!

Viv: Sheer genius as always! I can't wait to see the girls in their new dresses!

jessamyn: Oh! You better believe that little Journey girl will be in one of these within the month. Now...what fabric should I use? thanks for the links and the wonderful inspiration. These are so perfect!!! What lucky little girls.
