what can i say about this session that the pictures aren’t going to tell you?  so much love.  so much beauty.  i’m so excited to share some of my favorites.  brittany and jeremy…you have such a sweet family, and i’m so honored that you asked me to capture you all!

sunday was  a complete success!  with an amazing group prepared and ready to support the fight against children’s cancer, we began our day.  we had perfect weather and a great turnout at the nautilus world headquaters backyard.  eric and i felt very blessed to be a part of such a great cause, and to do a small part to support finding a cure for children fighting cancer.

bright and early thursday morning our little family and many other awesome volunteers headed out to nautilus headquarters in Vancouver, WA to join Drew Carney from channel 8 news in bringing awareness to an amazing event happening this sunday:

the St. Baldick’s event.

St. Baldrick’s is the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family. (text from www.stbaldricks.org)

eric and i will be assisting in documenting the happenings of the day.

it will be filled with lots of activities, music, food, fun and shaving ;)  admission to the event is free.  there will also be a silent and live auction full of great items to benefit st. baldrick’s.

we will be at Nautilus World Headquaters located at  16400 SE Nautilus Dr. in Vancouver, WA.  from 12-4 pm.

a couple of weeks before matt and paula’s big day, miss rendy and i took paula out in portland to shoot some bridals.  we had a lot of fun, and paula was up for anything…which made our jobs that much easier!  i was a wreck about her dress the whole time, as we walked up and down the streets, and in and out of stores…but paula just said “no one is going to be looking at my dress anyway, they are going to be looking at me.”  she’s so laid back.  love that:)

paula’s easy going attitude really came in handy when we headed back towards home to catch the sweet light in a field near my house.

i took this as a good opportunity to play around with my lensbaby…and i’m so glad i did.

thanks for trusting me paula, and thank you to rendy for coming out and shooting.  we really had a blast:)

eric just adores his boys.  i seem to catch these two like this often.  we were on NW 23rd in portland, waiting for my family, and mister dylan was rather impatient.  so eric engaged him in talking about what he wanted to eat.  they sat like this for quite awhile.  i love how dylan looks so comfortable and content.  can we just freeze time right now?  dylan told me in the car today “mommy, i’m sorry that i can’t stay 3.”  i’m sorry, too buddy…but i can’t wait to watch you become 4 and 5and 6 and 7 and 8 and……..

i had a great time photographing this sweet family on what happened to be a very warm evening about a week and a half ago.  we met downtown portland in a fun new location that worked out perfectly.  the kids were great and fun capturing their little personalities:)  we got some awesome family photos in the process…
